A recent graduate of Yale University, I was born in Seattle, Washington and raised by a Korean mother and a Black father. I grew up in a world influenced by not only these two cultures, but also all of those stirring around in the melting pot that is the pacific northwest. I'm a product of the eclectic experiences I've had throughout the mere 22 years of my life, and it's thanks to these occasions, shaped by the beautiful souls with whom I've crossed paths, that I've become the person I am today.

This blog is a way for me to reflect on these past experiences. The meshing of my name, Jamar, with the word 'archive' comes from the fact that there's always a significant gap of time between when I take the photos and when I share them publicly. I find myself constantly taking a peek at old photos and recollecting the details of the captured stories in my head. My photos and the stories that accompany them are subject to the whim of my nostalgia.

So, there you have it. You've come across the blog of a boy infatuated with fashion, obsessed with ice cream, and lifeless without music.

Welcome to my archives.
